Sims T. Blankenbaker (contributed) Sims A. Blankenbaker, of Madison died at his home on Monday, December 27th at 2:30 p. m., after a rather long illness. He was born la Madison county on April 10, 1873. He was the husband of the late Ella Blanche May and the son of the late Elliott Blankenbaker and Mary Carpenter Blankenbaker. He was a member of the Madison Methodist church for a number of years. He is survived by one son, John E. Blankenbaker, of Madison; three brothers, Fritz Blankenbaker, of Etlan; Jesse Blankenbaker, of Laurel Mills Va., and John Blankenbaker of California. Other survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Nora Carpenter of Madison, Mrs. Leona Yowell of Banco, Mrs. Charles Sprengel of Gordonsville, Mrs. Ashby Berry of Luray. There are also one grandchild, Mrs. Virginia Estes and one greatgrandchild, Nancy Estes. Two sisters, Mrs. Sally Brown and Mrs. Cora preceded him to the grave. Graveside funeral services were held in the Cedar Hill cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, December 29th at 2 p. m., with the Rev. E. E. Henley officiating. Active pallbearers were Bernard Blankenbaker, A. C. Jenkins, Paul Spitzer, Elmer Tanner, Brooke Aylor, Jesse May.
