(Reliability: 3). Mrs. Sallie Bettie Utz died very suddenly Dec. 19, 1927, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Benton S. Gibbs, of Aylor. The funeral service was conducted by her pastor, Rev. John Marshall, Tuesday evening she was laid to rest beside her husband, John E. Utz, who preceded her to the grave some 8 or 10 years ago. She leaves four daughters and two. Sons to mourn their loss, Mrs. Wilmer Aylor, Mrs. James Aylor and Mrs. B. 8. Gibbs, of Aylor, and Mrs. H. C. Tysinger, of Banco; Messrs. J. Utz, at Aylor, and Marvin Utz, of Madison, a number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mrs. Utz was 76 years old and had been a faithful member of Oak Grove Methodist church for 50 years. She could always be seen in her place in church. I have known Mrs. Utz from childhood. We were schoolmates, neighbors and good frends all of our lives. She was especially a warm friend of mine and I never lost an opportunity to shake hands with her whenever and wherever we met and she always seemed glad to see me. Saturday evening, just two days before her death I met her in the store at Criglersville with Mrs. Mary Gibbs. I went up to speak to her and she seemed to be as well as usual. Two days later I was shocked when I was told Mrs. Sallie Bettie Utz was' dead. . God bless her children. They are all numbered among the kindest friends I have. May we all live as we should and when we too will have to leave this world we may meet again on that golden shore to part no more. T. B. Clore.
