Jenkins, 74, highly esteemed citizen of Culpeper County, met with a tragic accident at his home on Rappahannock Road last Saturday, June 4th, when he fell from a cherry tree due to a splitting limb. The ladder fell from under Mr. Jenkins throwing him head formost to the ground and fracturing the vertrebrae of his neck. Mr. Jenkins died in Uni- | versity hospital Sunday, June | 5th where he was rushed by | ambulance immediately following the accident. | A retired carpenter, deceased | is survived by his invalid wife, Mrs. Carrie Lee Jenkins of. Nethers; two daughters, Mrs. Weakley of' Bettie Jenkins Nethers and Mrs. Paul Frye of Culpeper; two sons, Irvin Jenkins and Ellis Jenkins, Culpeper; two sisters, Mrs. Roberta Burke, Brightwood, Mrs. Laura and Winchester; Parkerson, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral sevices were held from Geest funeral home, the Rev. R. A. Kelly of the Free Methodist Church officiating at the last rites. Members of the church choir rendered special music at the funeral home and at the graveside in the family section of Fairview cemetery, where a* large assemblage of friends and relatives gathered. Pallbearers, all nephews, were W. E. Fincham, Aubrey Hawkins, Arthur Hawkins, John Jenkins, Harry Jenkins and Frank Jenkins, active; honorary, Marshall D. Gayheart, Robert Stlutz, C. T. Bowers, E. M.
