Biography
NOTE: There is another Ambrose Bohannon (WikiTree ID: Boahannon-1037) that is noted as having the same parents. I am entering this 2nd Ambrose Bohannon based on the information in the William & Mary College Quarterly, 6-1, p. 198 (posted on a genealogy forum) noted below in Sources which seems to be confirmed on the family tree posted below the William & Mary information I found on FamilySearch.org.
Ambrose Jr. died sometime between the writing of his will on 2/24/1776 and when it was recorded on 12/15/1800. My guess is that he may have past away closer to 1776 than 1800. However I will list his death year between the writing of his will and the recording of his will.
Ambrose Jr. was a Quartermaster in the American Revolutionary War. His will was proved on Dec. 15, 1800 in Essex County, Virginia. He never married and left his estate to his brother, Joseph.

Ambrose Bohannon of So. Farnham Par., Essex Co. 24 Feb. 1776. 15 Dec. 1800. Entire Estate to bro. Joseph Bohannon. Wit. Thos Miller, Wm. Miller, Dorothy Miller. His father notes a daughter Dorothy in his will so she likely married a William Miller (or maybe a Thomas Miller).
