MRS. PRlJDA ALLEN SETTLE 3IES NEAR EGGBORNSYILLE Mrs. Pruda Allen Settle, wife rf Broaddus Settle, died at her lome near Eggbomsville on Sunlay morning after a brief illless. The funeral services were leld from Black Oak Chapel on fuesday afternoon, April 28th,
and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Warren Corbin. Interment was in the family section at Fairview cemetery. Five sons, Harry, Willie, Edward, Moffett and Alfred Settle, and a nephwe, Roy Settle, acted as pallbearers, and Misses Annie Settle, Mary Settle, Frances Settle, Elizabeth Norman, Elizabeth Woodward and Susie Mozingo assisted in bearing the beautiful flowers. Mrs. Settle, who was fifty-six years of age, is survived by her husband and eleven children: MrS. William Doffermyer, of Washington, D. C.; Mrs, Festus Hitt, of Warrant on; Mrs. Shirley Carter, of Rappahannock; Mrs. Edward J. Settle, of Cumberland, Md.; Edward and Moffett Settle, of Warrenton; Harry Settle, of Washington, D. C.; Robert Settle, of Rapahannock, and Alfred and Herbert Settle, of EggbomSville. The funeral services were attended by a large number of friends and relatives from Culpeper eounty, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and other places.

Alpheaus Franklin Settle, 61, of Culpeper died Sunday, October 1, 2006 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born December 12, 1944 to the late Jane Elizabeth Settle and his step father, James Moffett Cloud.
Mr. Settle was a past member of the Castleton Fire Department and past president of the Culpeper Bowling Lanes. He was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Scrabble. He was employed with Culpeper Concrete as a truck driver for forty years. He loved bowling, playing horseshoes, and working outdoors doing yard work. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather who loved and cherished his family greatly. His grandchildren were his world. He will be missed by his family, many friends, and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Betty Ann Settle; his son, Gregory Wayne Settle, Sr. and his wife, Sandra of Culpeper, and his children, Gregory Wayne Settle, Jr., Samantha Nicole Settle, Tyler William Settle; his son, Jerry Franklin Settle, Sr., and his fiancée, Tonya Gilbert of Richardsville, and his children, Jerry Franklin Settle, Jr., Brittany Marie Settle, Meghan Destiny Settle, all of Culpeper, his ex daughter-in-law, Robin Lynn Settle of Culpeper, his two step grandchildren, Gary Lee Gilbert, and Dustin Kyle Gilbert both of Richardsville.
Additional survivors include his siblings, Delsie Heflin and her husband, Mike of Culpeper, James R. Settle and his wife, Bridgett of Warrenton, William Settle and his wife, Denise of Amissville, Carroll Settle and his wife, Melody of Amissville, Linda Settle of Rixeyville, and Patricia Settle of Rixeyville.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sandy Martin and Rev. Mark Jenkins officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Settle, Jr., Jerry Settle, Jr., Jason Settle, Wayne Jenkins, Hurley Banks, and Larry Kenny. Honorary pallbearer will be Tyler Settle.

James Moffett Cloud of Rixeyville, 75, died January 28, 1974 in McGuire Veterans Hospital, Richmond after an illness of two months. He was a veteran of World War I, the son of the late James Cloud and Jennie Campbell Cloud, and a retired farmer. A funeral service with full military honors is scheduled for today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Geest Funeral Chapel, Culpeper. Interment is in Fairview Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, five son, and six grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Aubrey Cloud of Rixeyville and Charles Russell Cloud of Norristown, Pa. Pallbearers are Roy Lee Knighting, Downing Hitt, A. F. Cannon, Ray T. Cannon, William Eggborn, Owen Cubbage and Laney Nenefee.

A funeral service for Aubrey Lee Cloud of Rixeyville was held Tuesday at the Geest Funeral Home chapel conducted by the Rev. John McKay. Mr. Cloud, 74, a farmer, died February 22, 1974 at University of Virginia Hospital after an illness of two weeks. A native of Castleton, he was the son of the late James and Jenny Campbell Cloud. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Betty Sites; a daughter, Miss Joyce Ann Cloud of Rixeyville; a son, Paul Cloud of Rixeyville; and a brother, Charles Russell Cloud of Norristown, Pa. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church at Boston. Pallbearers were Thomas Williams, Ray Cannon, Alpheus Cannon, Charles Saunders, Ivan Crosby, James Mills, J. T. Woodward, Irau Jacobs and John Triplett.
